Shop, Create & Be Inspired...

ree

The year was 2008, and I was wrapping up a year at FIT, learning accessory design. Prior to that year, I had mostly displayed my works at my family's store in Vermont, various small shows and a local artisan guild but just wasn't sure how to get my pieces further into the world.

Enter Etsy, a virtual, global marketplace of like-minded makers looking to share their talents with the world. Etsy gave us a low-cost, simple, supportive way to create our own online shops. I set out in creating my own shop immediately, including a variety of styles and materials.

My very first Etsy sale!

Since starting my Etsy shop, I have been so encouraged by the interest shown from around the world! Regardless of purchasing, it feels incredible to have people "favorite" my items and my entire shop.

At this point, my shop pretty much runs on its own now but Etsy continues to add great new features making it so easy to add new items, update my shop and analyze the traffic whenever I want.

10 years later, I am using my "new year" motivation to make "making" a more substantial part of my life. Along with starting this blog, I am going to rejuvenate my Etsy shop and share some new designs.

Looking forward to sharing with you!
